SOCHI is considered the Black
Sea Pearl because of its subtropical location and resort reputation. Many
travelers come here throughout the year to relax at the beach, engage in
outdoor sport activities, or to play in the snow during the winter time.
Winter
season in Sochi has a charm of its own. This season allures travelers to the
sport of skiing mainly in the Krasnaya Polyana resort. Here, you will get all
the equipment needed for the purpose of skiing.

City District
Michael Archangel Cathedral -- The cathedral
was built somewhere between 1873 and 1891 based on Kaminsky designs in order to
commemorate the victorious end to the Caucasian War. It was also the first
Orthodox Church built in Sochi.
Sochi Art Museum -- The Sochi Art Museum was built in 1939.
The elegant neoclassical design is considered to be the masterpiece of Ivan Zholtovsky.
Riviera Park -- Established by
Aleksey Khludov's son in 1898, the Riviera Park is located in the central area
of the city known as Khludovskaya. It is a popular location for both tourists
and local residents. At the park are some must-see funny statues as well as a
"glade of friendship" of magnolia trees planted by every Soviet cosmonaut and other
notable people.
There are lots to see and do in Sochi. You will not grow tired of
this event.

Dagomys Tea Plantation -- The tea
plantation is one of Sochi's most important tourist attractions because it
offers tourists an insight about tea plantation in the subtropical climate of Sochi.
It is located in the hills of Dagomys, which is a small village just 13 miles
outside of Sochi. Even the trip to Dagomys is a pleasant adventure as you can
drive along the Black Sea coastline and absorb the peaceful view of the sea and
the mountains. After visiting the Dagomys Tea Plantation, take a quick stop at
the local museum centered on Russian samovars and take in rural Russian
history.
Fort Godlik -- This is an
area of ancient ruins and was built at the mouth of the Godlik River during the Byzantine
period from the 5th to 8th centuries. It was
destroyed by the Khazars and later rebuilt by the Genoese during the High
Middle Ages, so there isn't much that remains of the fort. However, this is an
excellent destination if you want to experience centuries of history in one
location.

Matsesta Spa -- Matsesta means
"fire water" and gets its name from the hot sulphur springs that make up the
spa. The water contains over 27 types of minerals and is used to treat people
with respiratory and cardiac problems. The Matsesta Spa has been around for
over a century and was built in 1902. There are numerous amounts of bathing
rooms and massage tables that turn this ancient wonder into a modern spa.
Kudepsta -- Kudepsta is a seashore
resort most famous for its Vorontsov Caves, which stretch for 4km away from the
shore. There are fourteen different entrances to the caves and you can walk
along it to get to the seaside beaches.
Khosta -- Khosta is an old village
and the ruins of its medieval church can be traced back to the 14th
century. There are many places to visit in Khosta, like the Khosta Fortress,
which sits on top of a 100 meter cliff. You can also visit the Dendrarium, or Dendrary Botanical Garden. It is houses a very large collection of flora and it is a
beautiful sight you don't want to miss out on. The garden is over 30 acres wide
and is considered a natural vista. Visiting the garden will be a great way to
spend a nice day outdoors, even during the winter weather.

Dolphinarium -- The
Dolphinarium, also known as the Aquatheatre, is one of Sochi's most fun-filled
tourist attractions. Located in Adler district of Big Sochi, it is not very far
from the airport, and in a prime location among shopping and restaurants. The
Dolphinarium puts on various shows throughout the day by some amazing
animal performers, like dolphins, seals, and killer whales. Children and
adults, alike, become overjoyed at the sight of these magnificent water shows.
OUTSIDE SOCHI
Agura Waterfalls -- One of the most popular
tourist attractions in Sochi is the Agura Waterfalls. Spend a day hiking on a
serene trail that meanders through a green tunnel of cherry-laurel. Then, you
will reach two large rocks with natural cut formation from years of corrosion
by the water. 30 meters above you stands the waterfalls that fall into an oval
lake below.
